Does The Sims 3 Deluxe have the discs separate?

I was wondering if in The Sims 3 Deluxe Edition the World Adventures Expansion and the actual game are separate discs. The reason I ask is because I already have the original Sims 3 game but if the expansion is separate then I can buy just the disc by itself locally. Thanks.
