So what do you guys feed your dogs and where do you get it?

i buy nature's balance sweet potato and fish limited ingredient grain free diet for my dog because she has a lot of allergies ... i also buy her evangers canned wild salmon cuz she likes that :O) i buy the kibble at bosleys pet foods and i order her wild salmon from bow wow haus in my neighbourhood ... and i have to say most people i know feed their dog quality food and i definitely knwow no one, not even cat owners, who buy pet food at the grocery store ... does it make a difference, debatable ... i think the ingredients do make a difference ... but i also think some of those highly rated, expensive foods are too much of a good thing ... like you mentioned your dog had the runs, my dog and a friend staying with me with two dogs, we started them on orijen, "the best" and it was diarrhea city ... and we introduced it slowly and we went through three of the very large bags before admitting this was not "the best" for our dogs ... the food i am feeding my dog now, i would call it mid-price range but i like the ingredients, it agrees with my dog and she eats it happily so i am good with that ... when i grew up though my childhood dog ate grocery store food for life, and a really crappy one, and she lived health problem free for 16 years ... i think some of the really crappy dog food can be compared to mcdonalds for humans ... i personally will have mcdonalds from time to time and i do enjoy it but i know i need a balanced diet and just like i would not eat mcdonalds every day i would not feed my dog mcdonalds every day ...
