How deep are your roots in your current location>?

I live just half an hour away from where I grew up (where my family's been since the middle 1800s) so to move really any farther than a couple hours away would mean moving from almost all of my family. I guess I would move if we needed work but I am pretty capable of falling back on babysitting....my husband is a different story though. Yes, I'd move to get out of a desperate situation but I can't imagine what that would be. We'd all be very unhappy to move. We have a nice little house on 2 acres with established friends and activities.
