Pain during root canal procedure?

Sounds to me like the nerve in that canal has not been completely removed (drilled out).You should not be feeling any pain from the filing process. Sometimes the nerve takes a turn and the dentist is unable to get all of it. You really should consider having the tooth removed now as it may come back to haunt to later. Good luck!
